About the Congress

The Occupational Health and Safety Student Congress is a scientific student event that aims to address the field of occupational health and safety not merely as a technical discipline, but within the framework of social policy, human-centered approaches, and social responsibility.

The main theme of the congress has been determined as “Social Policy and Human-Centered Approaches in Occupational Health and Safety.” Within this scope, the congress will comprehensively discuss the role of occupational health and safety within social policy, preventive and proactive approaches, equality, accessibility, protection of vulnerable groups, and practices that prioritize employee well-being.

The effects of factors such as gender, disability, migration, and aging on occupational health and safety in working life; psychosocial risks, ergonomics, work–life balance, and the importance of the human factor constitute the main areas of discussion of the congress. In addition, occupational accidents and diseases will be examined not only in terms of their individual impacts but also their social and economic consequences from a social policy perspective.

The Occupational Health and Safety Student Congress aims to provide a platform where students can share their scientific work, develop human-centered solutions to current problems, and engage with academics and industry representatives. The congress seeks to contribute to the development of a preventive, inclusive, and sustainable approach in the field of occupational health and safety.
